Van Gogh for sure – But get a time slot

Van Gogh for sure – But get a time slot

No doubt you’re going to visit the van Gogh museum. This museum has the largest van Gogh collection worldwide and also visitors who don’t really like museums are very positive. This is confirmed by the many reviews on all kinds of independent travel sites.

You will find his most famous canvases such as the Sunflowers, The Potato Eaters, Almond Blossom and The Bedroom. However, note that some works such as ‘The Starry Night’ cannot be seen in this museum.

Be aware that you order your tickets upfront and reserve a time slot. Otherwise it will take a very long wait or even no access. This is mostly the case in busy periods.

Where do I buy tickets and reserve a time slot?

You can of course book this on the site of the museum itself. The advice we give you is that you better buy a discount card, like the ‘I Amsterdam City Card’. With this card you get access to multiple museums, unlimited public transport plus many other benefits.

A visit to the Rijksmuseum is also a must before or after the Van Gogh museum. This is literally a 5 minute walk and with this pass you don’t have to stand in line here either. In addition to a 1-day pass, it is also possible to order multiple-day passes. After visiting the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum, you will certainly have a taste for it and you have free access to more than 50 museums, including: The Rembrandt House, Hermitage and COBRA museum.

1. Order your card and get a order number
2. Use this order number to book your time slot here
Important: without a time slot you will not get access to the Van Gogh Museum!
